Sunkist J1 Commercial Citrus Juicer
A commercial juicer that endures extended daily usage, and features a metal oscillating strainer for better separation of the juice from the pulp. By using pre-cut citrus, this juicer can easily extract between 10-12 gallons of juice per hour. It comes with three extracting bulbs,one each for lemon/lime, one for orange and one for grapefruit, each with metal inserts. It has a quiet, heavy-duty motor and is housed in gleaming, chrome-plated steel. Dome, spout and bowl support is made from corrosion-proof white plastic. All removable parts are dishwasher safe. It's extremely safe to use, and comes with a 2 year warranty. It listed by Underwriters Laboratories, NSF International, CSA International, and VDE (Germany); and is also approved for use in Europe.
Operating Instructions:
Only operate on the electric current indicated.
Make sure the strainer and extracting bulb is properly in place before switching the juicer on.
All citrus' need to be halved, and their stems trimmed, before they can be juiced.
Turn on the juicer and leave running until the juice has been extracted from all citrus halves.
Grasp the citrus half about 3/4 of the way down from the top of the fruit. Hold firmly on rotating extracting bulb, until all juice is extracted. Remove fruit peel and repeat.
Always empty strainer when it is 3/4 full or less, and clean the bowl support.
JUICER TIPS:
It only takes a few seconds to get all the juice from the citrus half. Don't over extract or the bitter tasting albedo will be in your product.
Should your juicer overheat and stop operating, let it cool to room temperature and then press the reset button on the bottom of the machine.
To extend the life of your juicer, it is extremely important that liquid does not enter between the bowl support and the motor housing. Do not pick up the juicer by the bowl support, it can cause cracks where liquid can seep into the motor. Do not put juice in galvanized, wood, brass or bronze containers.
Motor never needs oiling; bearings are grease sealed.
CLEANING THE JUICER:
To remove the strainer, slide strainer puller completely under edge of square strainer hub. Turn knob on top of strainer puller clockwise until strainer loosens. Remove strainer puller; lift off strainer and empty contents.
NOTE: Failure to comply with any of the preceding instructions may result in cancellation of the warranty.
Power cord or motor should not come in direct contact with water.
After each use, unplug the juicer, remove and thoroughly wash and dry the spout, dome, strainer and extracting bulb. Wipe away any juice that may have accumulated in the bowl support with a damp sponge.

The Sunkist Sectionizer makes quick work of slicing, halving, and wedging a variety of fruits and vegetables. This machine can be used to core and wedge apples and pears. It will also slice firm tomatoes and mushrooms for sandwiches and pizzas, or wedge them for salads. The sectionizer can slice and/or wedge hardboiled eggs, kiwi fruit, small to medium potatoes, strawberries; and just about any firm (not hard) fruit or vegetable without pits that will fit through the blade cup. It is is much safer than cutting fruits and vegetables with a knife.
Comes with a one of seven different blade cups choices. Additional ones may be purchased separately. Blade cups and plungers are dishwasher safe. Weighs 13 pounds, and is made of sturdy ABS plastic and Approved by NSF International.
Sunkist QuickTip: Easy Preparation of Orange Wedges
The Sunkist Sectionizer makes the job of cutting orange wedges a breeze. After rinsing with cool tap water, just place an orange in the flexible cup cover and press down the handle.You can expect to section 10 to 12 cartons of oranges per hour. Just choose the size of wedge drop in the appropriate blade cup.
An optional 3-in-1 blade cuts an orange in half and scores each half into three wedges.
To make fresh orange "smiles" with a wedge blade in the sectionizer, place the orange, stem end to the side, and press the handle.
Slicing and Wedging Fruits and Vegetables
The Sunkist Sectionizer can be used with a variety of fruits and vegetables, as long as they're always firm but not hard and have no pits. Some of the more common uses:
Apples - cored and wedged for eating or cooking
Bananas - sliced for cereal, bananas foster or pies
Beets - sliced or wedged for cooking

Here are some hints to get the best results:
Always use firm products
When slicing an item width wise such as a cucumber or celery, 3" long is the best length to get 7 or 8 slices 5/16" thick.
If the item is not too wide, more than one piece can be sliced at a time.
When slicing an item length wise such as Napa cabbage, 5" is the recommended length. Number of slices will be determined by the width of the item.
Garnish Tricks for the Sunkistฎ Sectionizer
Half Lemon Slices with a Slit:
Start with a single blade cup and plunger wedger in the sectionizer.
Place one lemon on the wedger cup cover with stem ends vertical.
Pull down on handle of the sectionizer.
Repeat above until you have halved as many lemons as you need.
With a sharp knife make a cut on the inside of each lemon half from stem to stem about half way to the middle of the fruit.
Replace the single blade cup and plunger wedger with the 6-slice blade cup and plunger slicer.
Put lemon back together and place in the sectionizer with the stem ends horizontal.
Pull down on the sectionizer handle.
Result: Twelve half lemon slices with a slit in each piece for easy placement on a glass.
This can also be done with oranges or limes.
Orange Slices with a Slit:
Place orange on counter with stem ends horizontal.
With a sharp knife make a cut on the top of the orange from stem to stem about half way to the middle of the fruit.
Place the orange in the sectionizer (6-slice blade cup and plunger slicer installed) with the stem ends horizontal.
Pull down on the sectionizer handle.
Result: Six orange slices with a slit in each piece for easy placement on a glass.
This can also be done with lemons or limes.
16 Lime Pieces in Two Easy Cuts:
Start with a single blade cup and plunger wedger in the sectionizer.
Place lime on the wedger cup cover with stem ends horizontal.
Pull down on handle of the sectionizer.
Repeat above until you have halved as many limes as you need.
Replace single blade cup with 8-wedge blade cup.
Put two halves of lime back together and place either stem end vertically on the wedger cup cover.
Pull down on handle of the sectionizer.
Result: 16 perfectly cut limes to fit on the lip of beer bottles.
Substitute the 8-wedge blade cup with the 4-wedge or 6-wedge blade cup if desired.

How It Works:
These systems are unique throughout the world. Two cups gather the fruit, which

in the shell. The result is that the flavor of the juice is not affected by
the oils and acidity contained in the peel.

The foundation is the solid, air cooled electronic motor, built by Rotor Lips Ltd. Vitamat PJ Plus
The version Plus of the Vitamat PowerJuicer is equipped with a special lid. This lid has a round feed chute with an inner diameter of 10 cm, in comparison to the standard lid with the semicircular shaped opening. The round chute allows anoptimal and fast processing of soft, round fruits, like apples, pears, peeled oranges, etc., without cutting them first.
For smaller and hard fruits and vegetables, like carrots etc., a semicircular shaped inset should be used, because these products may become stuck or even jump out of the round chute. Furthermore the needed power to process hard vegetables is lower with the semicircular shaped opening, resulting in lower overall processing time, even though you have to cut some products first. With the inset in place, the chute has the same dimension as the standard lid of the PowerJuicer.
